“Thank God I’ve been vaccinated,” Chris De Burgh announced. Appearing in good health on the ITV daytime talk show, the musician openly spoke about his experience with the coronavirus. About to go on a solo tour in Europe, the 73-year-old had to defer the trip for a number of weeks when he became infected with SARS-CoV-2. “I was shocked,” Chris admitted, explaining that as a child – when he lived in Africa – he was vaccinated against polio and yellow fever, but “never got them”.
Having been double jabbed against Covid, Chris’ positive coronavirus results came as a shock.
Thankfully, though, when he did have the viral infection it was “like a mild cold”.
“Vaccination works,” said Chris. “Sorry folks, but they do work.”
