Women have been opening up about their boobs changing size as they get older.
Now, some life events like pregnancy and menopause will obviously change the look or size of your breasts.
Salma Hayek recently explained that she hadn’t had a boob job after people commented on her larger curves.
She said: “There are some women that when you gain weight, your boobs grow, and other women that when you have children and you breastfeed your boobs grow and they don’t go back down, and then in some of the cases when you are in menopause, they grow again”.
“I just happen to be one of those women that it happened in every single step!"
But, many women said that they experienced a growth spurt in their late 20s – despite never having had kids or gaining weight.

What’s going on with that?
One woman on Twitter said: “I don’t know her personal situation but we should talk more about how boobs shift and grow and change not only with weight fluctuations or kids but also just at different eras in your life! I feel like people don’t discuss that much”.
And others replied.
A social media user noted: “I would say 27 was when mine decided it was time to go full diesel.”
“My bazoombas grew another size in my 30s,” added another.
While another woman wrote: “I was a late bloomer, didn’t even have my period till I was 15. By high school graduation I was a D.
“When I started Zoloft and got sober at 21 I went to a triple D. Lose weight, gain weight, regardless of my body those things keep growing. 1st kid E, 2nd F, 3rd G.”
But, is it true that women’s boobs randomly grow in their late twenties?
Pundrique Sharma, Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeon at The Harley Medical Group told Tyla: “There’s no real medical evidence that there is such a thing as a second puberty, however some women don’t finish puberty, which includes breast development until their mid-20s, so breast growth can still take place during your early twenties.”
He added that hormones are what cause breast growth – oestrogen – as well as fat levels and genetics.
Due to this, contraception and pregnancy can increase boob size.
The doctor added: “Other factors such as the skin around the breast can have a big impact on the way breasts look, as we get older our skin loses elasticity, which can change the appearance of breasts, with women in their 20s to 30s.”
So basically, your boobs can suddenly grow if your hormones levels change!
You should still get to know your breasts and monitor if there are changes – and keep an eye out for signs of breast cancer.
Unusual changes, dimpling or lumps may require investigation so see your GP.

The NHS website reads: “Every woman's breasts are different in terms of size, shape and consistency. It's also possible for one breast to be larger than the other.
“Get used to how your breasts feel at different times of the month. This can change during your menstrual cycle. For example, some women have tender and lumpy breasts, especially near the armpit, around the time of their period.
“After the menopause, normal breasts feel softer, less firm and not as lumpy.
“Look at your breasts and feel each breast and armpit, and up to your collarbone. You may find it easiest to do this in the shower or bath, by running a soapy hand over each breast and up under each armpit.”
