People who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are no longer required to wear face masks or physically distance in many places and situations, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced Thursday.

The new guidance allows fully vaccinated people to go unmasked indoors — but not in healthcare facilities, on planes or public transportation, or where state, local, business or employer policies require all to wear face masks.
