Hayek, who is best known forher roles in movies like Frida and Fools Rush In, among many others, attributes her rocking bod’ to hard work in the kitchen and the gym.
Hayek told Hello Magazine that she can’t get on board with a morning workout (relatable), but makes sure she gets in her fitness in different ways.
“I work with a woman in London who taught me how to hold my body in a way where the muscles are activated all day long. So even when you brush your teeth, you’re working the muscles. It’s restorative yoga,” Hayek told Hello Magazine.
Sara Shears, who has trained Hayek, told Shapethat while Hayek is naturally small, she enjoys cardio and high-intensity interval training to keep everything tight. Their philosophy? “You should be doing something every day, in shorter durations but higher intensity,” Shears said.
She also told the magazine about her strict eating habits.
Though Hayek admits to indulging on vacation, some of her day-to-day meals are a bit…different to say the least. She juice cleanses, eats berries for breakfast, and enjoys her mom’s hot tamales. But she also incorporates some other critters into the mix.
“I have crickets, and then the ant’s eggs and then we gave these worms. You fry them. If you fry anything, it tastes good, but they’re really delicious. The bugs are incredible!” Hayek told Harper’s Bazaar.
Whatever works for you!
